                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1,
                   CONTRACT NO. 37D2, LOWER AMNICOLA PARALLEL
                   INTERCEPTOR SEWER II, WITH JOHN D. STEPHENS,
                   INC., TO INCREASE THE CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT
                   OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED
                   EIGHTY-THREE AND 75/100 DOLLARS ($14,883.75)
                   FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
                   TWO MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND, TWO
                   HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE AND 75/100 DOLLARS
                   ($2,710,271.75), WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized
       Change Order No. 1, Contract No. 37D2, Lower Amnicola Parallel
       Interceptor Sewer II, with John D. Stephens, Inc., to increase 
the
       contract in the amount of $14,883.75 for a total contract amount
       not to exceed $2,710,271.75, without prior approval.
